Job Summary:
The Director of Sales will generate and close sales of our growing catalog of virtual and on-site training products and services to new and existing accounts. You will concentrate on the East Coast Region (USA), generating, developing, and closing sales opportunities in mid-market and large accounts in the tech, biotech, and professional services industries. Working in a friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment, your key to success is initiative, a consultative selling style, and the ability to partner with clients to support and grow their talent and impact.
This individual contributor position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities:
- Build an annual sales plan to generate, develop, and close sales opportunities with a focus on mid-market and large corporate accounts
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets to significantly increase revenue from our product and service offerings
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
- Understand complex customer requirements on the corporate, departmental, and individual levels
- Proactively generate and follow up on leads
- Leverage thought leadership and content to promote the PowerSpeaking brand throughout various networks (i.e., social media, industry networks, and professional associations)
Compensation
The base salary range of $85,000 - $97,000 and a competitive uncapped commission structure which is approximately $15,000-$45,000. We offer market competitive total compensation, including benefits and perks such as 100% company paid individual medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, as well as a 401k with company match.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to tackle highly strategic and difficult business problems
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate to accomplish assignments with minimal supervision, including a strong capacity to partner and bring multiple resources together to accomplish shared goals
- Strong analytical skills for analyzing products, companies, and market dynamics
- Technologically competent, including mastery of relevant software and internet tools
- Excellent presentation skills, in-person and virtually

- Organized and detail oriented
- Self-starter, requiring minimum supervision
- Ability to drive revenue quarter over quarter and exceed revenue goals
Education and Experience
- 4-year degree preferred
- Strong consultative selling experience required
- At least 5 years of experience selling high-value products and services to large corporate accounts
- Experience building relationships with C-level executives
- Experience in structuring and negotiating licensing or other complex sales transactions
- Training industry experience, in both large and small company settings
